Tessilnova is an established Tuscan company, heir to the glorious Lanificio di Stia, one of the largest in Italy during the peak of its activity, specialized in the production of Casentino cloth.
Over the years, this company has established itself with its own namesake brand of clothing where Casentino cloth, a type of fabric
whose origins have been traced back to the Middle Ages, is
always the protagonist.
The owner and creative mind of Tessilnova, Claudio Grisolini, explains: «In the course of our activity, we have adapted to the changing market by expanding our range of products. In the man/woman/child versions, our best sellers are the tabarro, the montgomery and the double breast with martingale and fur collar but we also produce other garments such as ski suits, hats, bags and gloves.
Among the fabrics produced, besides using Casentino cloth and pannolana, available in 35 colours, we also use velour and 100% cashmere in classic colours. Orange remains the bestselling colour
of Casentino cloth».
Moreover, the company is intertwined with the productive history of the territory having initially constituted and hosted the Museum of Wool Art, which now belongs to the Luigi and Simonetta Lombard Foundation. A 360° experience in the wake of real Made in Italy.
