GIANNINI 1856

The “Giulio Giannini e figlio” bookbinding in Piazza Pitti in Florence is one of those art shops that, over the centuries, have made the Florentine tradition of handcrafts great.

Founded in 1856, it took its first steps as the bookbinder to King
Leopold II. From there, it began a long journey, still underway, which crossed over 150 years of history thanks to the passionate work of
the Giannini family. «We have known how to adapt to the epic changes dictated by history, modernity and technology. – as Maria Giannini, a sixth generation heir of this activity, tells us – We produce cards exclusively decorated by hand, the perfect combination between bookbinding and art. But the range of items is
vast: paper and leather books, note cards, frames and exclusive albums. We enhance each product with its own Certificate of Authenticity as a guarantee of quality for the customer ». Every object has a very high intrinsic value as the result of manual work that bears an expertise rich in history. Among the best sellers:
soft leather books with a marbled finish that can be customized with logos, initials or names.

The workshop also organizes artistic workshops for groups or for individuals.
