Marlin Factory is a company owned by Leonardo Rizzo, the grandson who followed in the family tradition, the fourth generation of a family of designers and artisans of women's footwear. In particular, Leonardo is specialized in sandals and accessories, such as bags and belts. Leonardo's grandfather, Franco Rizzo, was a highly regarded footwear designer within the industry, as he gained the opportunity to work with many of the most prestigious Italian footwear manufacturers, thus becoming a highly sought after artisan. Mr. Rizzo was also a founding member of the Associazione Italiana Stilisti Calzature and won various awards dedicated to his work, amongst which, the academic Oscar for High Fashion in 1972 stands out. Breathing in the air of this work in his family, Leonardo soon began to learn it, following a professional path that in 2013 culminated with the opening of his own company, Marlin Factory. Leonardo’s collections of sandals, bags and belts are characterized by their vintage look, achieved by mainly using vegetable tanned leather and Tuscan cowhide as raw materials. The Marlin Factory collections cater to a mid-high level clientele that knows how to appreciate a quality product. The best-selling colours are black and dark brown, without disdaining the typical summer colours and lamé. Leonardo Rizzo's products are distributed in selected boutiques in Italy and Europe.
